Hradisko quarry is a pegmatite quarry on a hill overlooking the village of Rožná, Czech Republic. Lepidolite (a lavender form of mica) was taken from this quarry from which Bunsen extracted rubidium for his macroscopic studies and for his isolation of the element and his compounds. This is the hillside near the quarry.Courtesy, Zbynek Burrival.
